My granddaughter stayed with us for the weekend. She can be a bit picky with food, but since she loves fires, we planned a fire on Friday evening so all the kids could roast their own hotdogs for dinner.
This is one of the many reasons we love living in the countryside!
Four years ago, when we moved into this house, the firepit here was in pretty bad shape. We quickly put this one together, and we absolutely love it! However, it’s starting to show signs of wear and will need to be rebuilt soon.
One of our dogs, Hazel, loves the fire too. She’s the only one of our four dogs we trust to stay by the fire with us without running away.
All three girls had a wonderful evening, savoring their hotdogs and, of course, enjoying roasted marshmallows afterward.
